The University of Melbourne offers around 600 Graduate Research Scholarships for high-achieving domestic and international students.
What the scholarship may cover:
➤ 100% tuition fee remission
➤ AUD $39,500 annual living allowance at the 2026 rate
➤ Relocation grant of up to AUD $3,000 for students moving from outside Australia
➤ Overseas Student Health Cover for eligible international students
➤ Other research-related support depending on the award
For many new graduate research applicants, you do not submit a separate scholarship application. You are automatically considered when you apply for an eligible graduate research degree.
